Dexter Clardy

Campaign Manager

My name is Dexter Clardy, and I’m from Indianapolis, IN. I’m a proud IU Bloomington graduate! Before joining Credence, I was a full-time touring musician and had the chance to achieve some incredible milestones in the industry.

What's your favorite part about your position?

I think one of my favorite things about my position here have been the ability to have a direct impact on others' success and utilizing my abilities to connect with people in a work capacity. I’ve always wished to have a career where I could be compensated for being myself and in this role being genuine and honest is what connects us with our teams and opens up dialogue to find our weaknesses and strengthen them.

What's the best advice you've gotten in our business?

People don’t care how much you know, they care about how much you care first. Also, people can handle more than you give them credit for. If you care about someone’s success, give them honesty, not fluff.

What are your goals?

My professional goal is to open up my own office on the Leaf program, have my first expansion within the first 6 months of being open, and become Rookie Director of the Year.

One of my many personal goals is to speed up my mom’s retirement process, buying out the rest of her mortgage on her home and make sure she no longer has to look for her next role in the workforce. I would then like to open a music center for kids to learn about music performance, business, production, and all things related to visual arts.

Where is your favorite place to travel?

I’d have to say my favorite place I’ve traveled is Hawaii for personal, but through the business definitely Portland, OR because I got to learn, work, and see my cousin who works for the Portland Trialblazers.

What are some of your hobbies?

I love to play basketball, spend time with my friends doing anything active, hiking, and occasionally video games (Overwatch to be exact)

Fun fact about yourself

I have opened for Masego, 21 Pilots, and opened for/with Booty Collins for the Cincinnati Jazz Festival.

Anything else?

Everyone enters this business with the same questions, but only the successful people were willing to take the time to get them answered. Take the opportunity serious and your results will increase.
